HOW DO I USE IT?
On hand whenever you need it, our Dressing Base is a wonder in kitchen - easy to use, filled with premium ingredients and delicious to boot. Our Classic Shallot & Sherry Vinegar Dressing Base riffs on Frenchy flavours and combines Australian vinegars, golden shallots, French mustards and a little magic.
Of course, it is a wonder on a salad - just mix with your favourite oil for a creamy vinaigrette - but it also works wonders with a dab of butter tossed through hot roasted veg or even just with a dollop of mayo on a salad sandwich.
QUICK START:
USE ONE SPOON OF LITTLE GOOSE BASE TO TWO SPOONS OF YOUR FAVOURITE SALAD OIL. WHISK AWAY UNTIL A CREAMY DRESSING EMERGES.

WHAT MAKES LITTLE GOOSE DIFFERENT?

Quite literally, our product is made out of a registered home kitchen in Melbourne’s inner-North. Lovingly crafted with exacting standards, we are proud of our local product!

It’s hard work creating a shelf stable food product and we’ve learned a lot throughout the development phase. However, we hold fast and true to our original intent: no low quality oils or unnecesssary ingredients. Golden shallots, Australian vinegars, organic agave and French mustards are in every jar!

This is a product that is made to be enjoyed and customised - not coloured static gloop that sits on a supermarket shelf! We encourage you to play around depending on the type of salad you are creating and your mood.

As all home cooks know, a key part of our work in the kitchen is finding ways to use up leftovers and minimise waste. This quest was the impetus behind the creation of Little Goose. Get creative and throw together ingredients in the fridge, customise your dressing and create lunch on a WFH day or a healthy salad for a family dinner. Your choice, your salad!

Without low quality “filler” oils, our 300mL jar of Dressing Base delivers 18 serves (and our 190mL jar serves 10!) so you can use up more of your fridge and pantry goodies and eat more healthily at the same time!
NEED SOME SALAD INSPO?
Below are some of the most beloved ingredient combinations at Little Goose HQ - give them a try to get started on your own awesome bowl of yum. Remember to use 2 spoons of olive oil to every 1 spoon of our Dressing Base, whisk it up and a salad dressing is now yours to enjoy.
MINT, FENNEL, RADICCHIO, ICEBERG
I like to keep everything sliced to a similar size, but you do you! A tip: if you find radicchio a little bitter, put the leaves in iced water for 10 minutes then spin dry. Bitterness begone!
BEANS, RADISH, AVOCADO, BROCCOLINI
I can give or take the radish but it adds a nice bit of colour and crunch. Give the broccolini a rinse and put it, undried and covered, in the microwave for a couple of mins to steam.
TOMATO, CUCUMBER, FETA, TUNA
A popular combo for a reason! Only use really ripe tommies and good quality tuna (in oil, not water). Start it a little ahead of time - I like this to mellow on the bench for a bit. Just me?
